Edouard Fritch, le président de la Polynésie française, a déclaré être positif au coronavirus dimanche 11 octobre alors qu'il avait rencontré Macron jeudi 8 octobre dernier à l'Elysée.

Le président n'est d'ailleurs pas le seul à avoir rencontré Edouard Fritch: Gérald Darmanin, Sébastien Lecornu et le premier ministre Jean Castex ont également échangé avec lui, rappelle LCI. "Macron, Darmanin, Castex et Lecornu sont cas contacts après leur rencontre jeudi avec le président de la Polynésie Édouard Fritch.
"Ils doivent s’isoler et faire un test PCR 7 jours après le contact s’ils sont sans symptôme", a estimé lundi 12 octobre au matin le professeur Gilbert Deray, chef de service à la Pitié-Salpêtrière.
Si Castex ignore quel est le nom de l'appli de son gouvernement permettant le traçage des porteurs de la covid - à deux reprises, il l'a appelée "télécovid" - , est-il un dommage collatéral du cas-témoin Macron ?
Malgré ces recommandations, l'Elysée a écarté l'hypothèse que Macron puisse être un cas contact. "Le président de la République n'est pas contact car le protocole sanitaire a été scrupuleusement respecté, masque, distanciation...", a-t-elle communiqué.
